Two years following its launch, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is receiving a surprise free DLC which is set to add a whole new city to the base game.
First released back in 2023, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is the 13th instalment in Ubisoft’s beloved Assassin’s Creed franchise and this one took players to 9th century Baghdad.
Telling the story of assassin Basim, we follow him as he goes from a street thief to a member of the Hidden Ones as he fights for peace and liberty against the Order of the Ancients.
Although not considered the best entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Mirage was still warmly received so it is no wonder that fans are excited to dive into its upcoming DLC content.

Earlier this month, Ubisoft revealed that Mirage would be getting free DLC before the end of the year and although details are scarce, we do know that it will include a “new story chapter and missions” and will be set in a different area to the base game.
With gameplay improvements and a new location, fans are over the moon that they will receive all of this for free and some took to r/PS5 to share their thoughts.
User Ceceboy wrote, “I really liked Mirage so I'm looking forward to this!
This really caught me by surprise. That's DLC 2 years after release or something? Sick.”

Another user agreed, adding, “Hell yeah brother, that's bada*s.”
As mentioned, it has been over two years since Assassin’s Creed Mirage was released and with Ubisoft moving on to following titles in the franchise such as Assassin’s Creed Shadows, it is a surprise to see a previous title get some love courtesy of a free DLC.
“Being a patient gamer is paying off yet again,” another user shared.
There is no exact release date for the Assassin’s Creed Mirage DLC but it will be some time at the end of 2025.
