Assassin's Creed fans are desperate for a remake of The Ezio Collection with modern graphics

Assassin's Creed fans are hoping that Ubisoft will release a remake of The Ezio Collection with modern graphics.

With every passing day, we edge closer to the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage. We don’t know how much more waiting we’ve got to do seeing as the release window is simply 2023, but we do know that Mirage will be set in ninth century Baghdad and will feature Valhalla’s Basim and Unity’s parkour system.

In the meantime though, fans are revisiting some of their favourite Assassin’s Creed titles from years gone by. Recently, one fan was ribbed by the fan community for not realising that Assassin’s Creed Origins featured nudity. Elsewhere, players confessed that perhaps the hate aimed towards Odyssey is “unjustified” while others declared Unity to be the best-looking game in the franchise. Today though, fans are rallying for a remake of The Ezio Collection with modern graphics.

Taking to Reddit, user rightbut wrote, “I know that we won't ever get a remake of The Ezio Collection but God damn, everytime I replay Assassin's Creed 2, I ask myself how awesome it would be to see Venice or Florence during the Renaissance with today's graphics? It would be crazy beautiful. Do y'all think that we will at least have another AC in Italy, maybe not too much after Ezio? Or even before.”

It’s a good point. The Ezio Collection is fun overall, but it did feature some questionable graphics at times. Plenty agreed with rightbut. User issd added, “An Ezio game with today’s graphics would complete my life,” while Silver_Fox_1411 wrote, “I would honestly love to have another AC game set in Italy! Perhaps telling the story of Ezio's father as an assassin, going a little bit in depth with the Auditore's before the birth of Ezio? I would love to see that.” Sign us up.

It’s crucial that Mirage succeeds for Ubisoft. Earlier this year, the company cancelled three unannounced games amidst a series of cost-cutting measures following a disappointing financial year.
