Ubisoft isn’t often one for revisiting Assassin’s Creed projects of yesteryear, but that’s reportedly what it’ll soon do as a Black Flag remake is supposedly on the way.

I have to say, it’s in my personal top three Assassin’s Creed games so I’m pretty thrilled about the prospect of this happening.

Of course, until the project is confirmed by Ubisoft, this rumour should be taken with a pinch of salt, but it’ll definitely be interesting to see what’s said at this year’s Ubisoft Forward.

If the Black Flag remake does manifest, it leads one to ponder what other instalments we might see revisited.

But did you know that Edward Kenway’s adventure didn’t end when players rolled credits on Black Flag?

An official sequel exists; it’s just simply not a game.

If you enjoy comic books though, you can find out what this beloved Assassin’s Creed protagonist got up to in Forgotten Temple, a sequel available via Webtoon.

We’re getting very close to the release of Assassin’s Creed Shadows now.

Forgotten Temple follows Edward as he seeks out the Pieces of Eden hidden throughout the Southeast Asian seas following his integration into the Brotherhood.

The comic also introduces Noa, a Korean-American descendent of his.

In total, there are set to be 150 episodes featured across three seasons of Forgotten Temple, with season two now reaching its conclusion.

That means there are around 100 instalments already out there for you to enjoy, with 50 left to drop in the near future.

And if you weren’t sure, Webtoon is completely free to access, so you don’t need to splash the cash to hop into Edward’s latest story.

Fans are full of praise for those instalments that have already landed.

“Edward's story in it is great. But what really stands out for me is the modern day storyline. It's the best since the end of the Desmond saga, I could easily see it working as a game,” wrote Reddit user Imguerra.

“Getting to see Edward’s story continue is amazing, and the modern day sections are amazing too,” LukeV704 echoed.

In fact, writing this has reminded me that I need to catch up, which is exactly what I’ll spend the latter half of this day doing … after work hours, of course boss.
