
If you ask any Assassin’s Creed fan, they will most likely tell you that Edward Kenway is one of their favourite protagonists thanks to his cheeky Welsh charm and swashbuckling adventures during 2013’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
Introduced in the sixth mainline instalment of the hit Ubisoft series, players followed Edward Kenway during the Golden Age of Piracy as he searched for a fortune as well as a mythical island sought after by both the Assassins and Templars.
Despite not being over a decade old, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is still widely regarded as one of the best entries in the franchise so it is no surprise that fans have been calling out for a remaster over recent years.
Despite rumours that a remaster is currently in development over at Ubisoft, it has not yet been officially confirmed so in the meantime, fans are having to find other ways to get their Edward Kenway fix.

Well, as of November 2025, there will be a way to do that as Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple - Volume 1 is finally set to be released in English.
Already available in both France and Spain, Assassin’s Creed: Forgotten Temple - Volume 1 is a trade paperback which combines the first seven issues of the comic book with the same name.
The English version is set to be published by Viz Media and marks the first time that it has been sold in English since starting off its life as a Webtoon project.

It may not be a Black Flag remake but it will definitely give you some more Edward Kenway action in the meantime and you only have just over a month until you can finally get your hands on all of its shiny glory.
