ARC Raiders Benefit Revealed, Players Urged To Reset Ahead of Wipe

The next expedition approaches.

The first ARC Raiders wipe is coming, and players have been urged to reset their progression ahead of time in order to reap the benefits.

Unlike live-service games like Escape From Tarkov or Rust, where wipes affect all players, ARC Raiders’ wipe is actually completely optional for now.

This means that you can choose to permanently retire your character and start over, or continue with everything you’ve already unlocked. While the answer seems pretty obvious, ARC Raiders developer Embark Studios has revealed several benefits for choosing to reset.

Embark explains in a blog post that" “The Expedition hit a minor delay, and the window will now open on 17th December.

“You will have a six-day period in which your Raider can choose to leave The Rust Belt for good. By departing in the Caravan you have constructed in the Expedition Project, you will restart your journey with certain buffs and advantages. We want to take you through some of these here.”

Embark then explains that by choosing to reset, “all items in your Raider’s stash will be contributed toward it” following the Expedition departure.

“Your next Raider can earn up to five skill points based on the total value of your Stash and Coins at the time of departure.

"One million Coins worth of value equals one extra skill point for your new Raider.”

By choosing to restart your ARC Raiders progression, your level, skill trees, stash, workshop, blueprints and crafting abilities will be reset.

However, the initial onboarding from your first deployment in Speranza will also be skipped, allowing all maps and workshop upgrades to be available to you from the moment you reset.

Embark has also detailed a few of the other advantages and rewards available to you following the reset.

You’ll get several permanent items, including The Patchwork Raider outfit, the Scrappy Janitor Cap, the Expeditions Indicator icon, Skill points (depending on Stash value), and +12 Stash space.

You’ll also get a few temporary buffs, with an extra 10% repair buff, a 5% xp boost, and 6% more materials from Scrappy. These buffs will expire if you choose not to depart with the subsequent expedition.

The Expedition Window in ARC Raiders runs from 17 December until 22 December, giving you around six days to decide whether to reset or not. Embark stresses that you must sign up during this period, and everyone will automatically depart at the same time on the 22nd.
