ARC Raiders is still proving to be a huge success, despite the recent launches of Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

Every year, we often tend to get at least one game that unexpectedly takes the video game community by storm. For example, last year, that game was probably Helldivers 2, which originally launched on PlayStation 5 and PC, before arriving on Xbox Series X/S in 2025.

“While the gameplay loop is fairly small and repetitive, it takes a long time for a session to get boring, and that time is extended dramatically when you’re playing and chatting with your friends,” said GAMINGbible’s Sam in his review.

“Playing Helldivers 2 almost makes you feel like you’re back in the golden age of online gaming, it’s pure, silly cooperative fun that offers a tailored experience for all kinds of players, whether you’re looking for something casual or your next big challenge.”

ARC Raiders is a breakout 2025 hit

Developed and published by Embark Studios, the same team that gave us the free-to-play 2023 breakout game, The Finals, ARC Raiders is proving to be so popular that it might even take the popularity of the extraction shooter genre to new heights.

Whether ARC Raiders can achieve great success in the long term remains to be seen. That being said, the latest shooter from Embark Studios is at least off to a good start. What makes the early success of ARC Raiders extra impressive is that it was launched between Battlefield 6 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

As brought to our attention by MP1st, the concurrent player count for ARC Raiders is on the rise, topping its already impressive numbers.

On 14 November 2025, I reported that according to SteamDB, ARC Raiders achieved a concurrent player peak of 462,488. Now, that number stands at an impressive all-time peak of 481,966 and at the time of writing, 215,191 players are enjoying the game right now.

Of course, these numbers only reflect the Steam platform on PC, and it’s worth keeping in mind that ARC Raiders is multiplatform. So, there’s a solid chance that it’s achieving great numbers across the board.

ARC Raiders is out now on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Hopefully, Embark Studios might release the official numbers across all platforms one day soon, because we’d love to see it. Fingers crossed.
