Nvidia have just released their new GeForce Game Ready driver for the RTX 4090. This powerhouse graphics card features DLSS 3 which, as we previously reported, creates additional, high-quality frames by using the fourth-gen Tensor Cores and Optical Flow Accelerator on GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs.

In other words, the RTX 4090 gives a framerate boost beyond the previous generation of Nvidia graphics cards. Today, the tech company has announced a list of games that will benefit from the GeForce Game Ready driver - along with its DirectX 12 optimizations - that support the new GPU.

As you can probably guess from the video above, the phenomenal Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is one of the games getting DLSS 3 thanks to the new driver, along with a host of other games, such as Microsoft Flight Simulator and Bright Memory: Infinite. However, not all games supported are out now, as is the case with A Plague Tale: Requiem, which releases on October 18, 2022.

There are also a handful of games getting DLSS 2 support, from Destroy All Humans! 2 - Reprobed to the massive Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, as well as the approaching Gotham Knights.
The full list is below:

While these games are just the starting point, DLSS 3 support is on the horizon for other titles, including Portal, The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, although no date has been given by Nvidia for when that will be.
Nvidia has also announced new DirectX 12 enhancements that accelerate performance in a number of games, including shader compilation optimization, reduced CPU overhead, and Resizable BAR profiles for Forza Horizon 5 and F1 22.
According to Nvidia, many of these optimisations are more beneficial in CPU-bound scenarios, because they enable graphics cards to be utilised to a greater degree.
