If you think there have been a lot of Star Wars movies, wait until you find out how many Star Wars games have been released over the years. As with the films, some are decidedly better than others, and some are considered among the best games ever made. If you’re in the market for some nostalgia, or just an education into the greatest Star Wars games to be released, there’s an outstanding collection pounce on.

Right now the massive Star Wars Heritage Pack is available for just £34.99 on Nintendo Switch, down from £52.99 at Amazon. Whether you’re a fan of lightsabers, pod racers, blasters or spacefaring, this bundle has got you more than covered.

There seven games on this one cartridge, including Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy, Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast, Star Wars Episode I Racer, Star Wars Republic Commando, and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Of these classics, the absolute highlights are Knights of the Old Republic, to this day held as one of the best RPGs ever made, and the equally impressive Jedi Knight II.

The Force Unleashed is a somewhat forgotten gem, too, with players taking up the reins of Starkiller, Darth Vader’s secret apprentice. It really doesn’t get much better than tearing down spaceships with the Force or mowing down Stormtrooper after Stormtrooper with your laser sword.

With 4.5 out of 5 stars from 139 ratings, this collection has won tons of praise from Amazon customers. “Excellent port of the classic Star Wars games,” said a five-star review, “You won't be disappointed if you’re a fan of the PC or Xbox originals. Knights of the Old Republic is as good as I remember it to be, and Republic Commando stands the test of time.”

“Awesome bunch of OG Star Wars games. Really brings back memories,” said another happy Star Wars fan.

“I remember playing these games as a kid, and it’s so great to be able to get back into them,” said another five-star review. “Having them in one bundle made it such an easy decision.”

Some players have been unhappy to note that some of the games need to be downloaded. “You do have to download a couple though so minus one star for that,” said a four-star review.

Another added: “I buy games to own forever. If games are now not even on the media I buy, then I don't buy. In a few years the Switch shop closes just as the Wii, Wii U, and 3DS did. You will be forced to have these downloaded games on your machine taking up hard drive space.”

For more high-quality bundles at great prices, check out the Metal Gear Solid trilogy for just £49.99 at PlayStation and the remastered Crash Bandicoot trilogy from Game for just £21.99.

But for just £34.99, the seven games included in the Star Wars Heritage Pack are well worth the money.
