It should be noted that a shareholder’s earnings call will take place at Take-Two on 18 September at 2pm BST, where the company will hopefully, once again, hopefully, confirm the release date of GTA VI.
This is the newest GTA VI memo we’ve written on a scrap of paper, stuck to the fridge with a magnet, and looked at longingly.
We stuck it there to be yet another reminder that the biggest game of all time is coming soon, though not soon enough.
May 2026 feels so out of reach, when all we want to do is hop in a car and cruise around Vice City, and we’ve been there through it all.

The long, agonising wait for news; the initial first trailer that set the stage; then came the interminable wait for more.
Then the delay, where hearts were broken, and bonds were formed.
It feels like fans of Grand Theft Auto have done nothing but wait, and now we’ll wait some more.
We’ll wait for 18 September, 2pm BST - that’s 9am ET, and 6am PT for those in the US - just like we watched the phases of the moon in the desperate hope for more updates from Rockstar Games.

Each of us will be crossing our fingers and toes that GTA VI doesn’t get delayed again, though we’ll all understand, somewhat, if the studio needs more time to polish; said through the tears and a grimace.
It feels monumental, and we’ll all be happy if, on 18 September at 2pm BST, Take-Two announces that they’re sticking with the release date of 26 May 2026.
There will be hope that the internal leak, which sparked news of yet another delay, was just a rumour, nothing more than a blip, just another piece of news fluttering by on the Google breeze.
For now, we once again wait.
