Already, next year’s gaming line-up is positively stacked.
Personally, The Blood of Dawnwalker, 007 First Light, and Professor Layton and the New World of Steam are amongst my most anticipated titles; I’d love to see Intergalatic: The Heretic Prophet land, but that could be wishful thinking.
Of course, it’s nigh impossible to touch on 2026 without mentioning how excited everybody is for Grand Theft Auto VI, myself included.
Rockstar Games’ long-awaited title is finally set to land on 26 May 2026 where’ll we’ll join Lucia and Jason in Vice City.

Four months on from the title’s last trailer and fans are clamouring to know when they can discover more.
While Trailer 2 comprised 50% gameplay, most of us didn’t actually realise until Rockstar clarified that fact.
Even still, it would be nice to see some unedited gameplay with the UI intact.
I’m doubtful anything will arise soon though - perhaps at the end of the year? Rockstar may want to open pre-orders over the busy holiday season.

In the meantime, fans have taken to discussing what activities the game will feature with many having already been unofficially confirmed via leaks.
Golf, fishing, racing, scuba diving, and gambling are amongst the activities supposedly featured.
Alongside this, you’ll be able to visit bars, restaurants, laundries, pawn shops, and strip clubs.
It really does feel like there’s very little you can’t do in GTA VI and that’s a prospect that’s got fans hyped.

“10/10 game fishing involved,” wrote Reddit user Aresvallis76.
“I hope hunting is included, I love hunting in RDR2, you could make a game just with the hunting stuff in RDR2,” added Parking_Tumbleweed39.
“I really hope they add pool and basketball to the game,” remarked CuadBlan.
“Storyline can wait. I'm going fishing,” read Eremith’s comment.

It does seem that fishing is the most anticipated activity of all.
With only eight months to go until launch, hopefully a full official rundown on the game’s activities isn’t too far away.
