GTA 6 Delay Clearly Has Gamers on the Edge

It's coming soon, or is it...

The release of GTA VI can't come soon enough for all sorts of reasons. First of all, it's been well over a decade since the last one, and it's time for some new adventures in the worlds that Rockstar has created.

Second of all, everyone has started to go a bit weird and they really just need to be placated with the actual game at this point, before they start verbally (and possibly even physically) tearing each other apart.

If you have a keen memory, you'll remember that GTA VI has only been officially delayed once, with Rockstar remaining pretty tight lipped on a release date before that. Originally, the game was set to arrive in Fall 2025, before being pushed to May of next year, so there is a world in which we might have already been playing it, if they had stuck to the original plan.

That fact alone has done enough to send the community into a bit of a state again, after GTA 6 Countdown pointed it out on Twitter/X.

Many were put out by the revelation, with one simply saying "Don't remind me."

Others were impressively more sanguine, with another adding, "True. But we've already come this far, I actually didn't feel too bad about the delay anymore after trailer 2. There's a huge graphical difference in both trailers so I guess they're adjusting the game to our expectations."

One took that even further, saying, "Game can be delayed till 2030 and i would be totally fine with it so they delivered a full fletch complete package and no issues for the money it could also cost $120 and i would be fine with it again as long as is a completely full package and finished game."

Another pointed out that, even if there was a world where the game had come out in October, it wouldn't have been everything we're expecting it to be, "We'd be playing an incomplete game. Rockstar is the only AAA studio that understands that releasing an unfinished game is unacceptable. With that in mind, I'm okay with the fact that we're having to wait longer."

Whatever does happen with the quality of the final product, it's obvious that the release of GTA VI is going to be one of the biggest events in gaming history.

Let's just hope it does manage to live up to expectations, or I dread to think what might happen.
