10 more Steam games to keep you busy this weekend

From bullet hell roguelikes to romantic farming sims

Angharad Redden

Angharad Redden

The weekend is fast approaching and with many of us taking advantage of the time off to dive into some video games, Steam has us covered with a selection of brand-new titles.

I recently showcased ten exciting titles that were recently added to the PC storefront but I am back with ten more.

So if you are a Steam user and you are on the lookout to try something ahead of its full release later this year, I am sure that something on this list will capture your interest.

First up is Three Kingdoms Mushouden, an open-world strategy RPG set on the eve of the Yellow Turban Rebellion which took place during 182 AD.

Players can choose to play as a custom character or an established warlord as they build forces and form alliances but whether you choose to be a lone wanderer or join up with famous generals, history is yours to reshape.

Next is Mecha Break which is hosting its free demo right now.

This multiplayer third-person shooter will allow players to live out their mech-driving dreams as they choose from multiple classes, customise their appearance (and that of their mechs), and battle other units across treacherous terrain.

With three unique game modes to choose from, no one game will be the same.

Something a bit calmer is Dawn Apart, a space colony and factory sim with fully destructible environments.

It will be up to you to defend your settlers as you mine, automate and even lead a rebellion against the corporation that controls your every step.

Harvest resources, design intricate production lines, and optimise efficiency as you transform an alien landscape into a thriving industrial colony.

If you are a horror fan then you should check out Mirror Mirror.

This psychological horror title will take place inside a house you cannot escape from and all you have for company are unknown entities.

You will have to uncover the secrets of your fractured mind as you try to survive and escape the never-ending loop.

If you loved Disco Elysium, then you should keep an eye on Rue Valley.

With a similar art-style, this narrative RPG tells the story of a man stuck inside a time loop.

However, he will soon meet complex characters with emotional stories who will help him deal with the mental challenges he has to face. It will be up to you to help him rise from the depths of his own mind.

Now it’s time for a roguelite and BackStreet combines combo-based combat with strategic elements but with simple controls.

Set in a corrupted city run by the tyrant management of AI, 3COS, you will find yourself in a world abandoned by humans in wake of an environmental disaster.

Build your own unique fighting style and adapt to enemy patterns in order to come out on top as you enhance your abilities and discover the truth behind your lost identity.

Hollow Knight: Silk Song be damned, SoulWander is here and this 2D platformer is reminiscent of some of the best in the genre.

You will embark on a journey to restore colour to a black and white world across multiple regions, each with their own unique story.

With weapons and soul powers yours to wield, your choices will shape the fate of the world as you set off to discover five colourful regions, each representing the five souls and their missing colours.

Asgard’s Fall - Viking Survivors is a bullet hell action roguelike set in a Norse mythology inspired world.

As with any bullet hell title, you will need to fend off swarms of enemies in order to let the gods feel your unbridled rage.

Choose from a variety of heroes such as the fierce warrior or the agile huntress as you demonstrate your might and ultimately face the leaders of the Nine Realms.

From the chaos of a roguelike to a relaxing farming sim with Tales of Seikyu.

This farming sim with a touch of dating is set in the magical world of Yokai. You will use your transformation powers to manage your farm and explore the world as you form strong bonds with the extraordinary islanders.

And maybe even stark up a romance with them.

Last but certainly not least is Pao Pao.

Team up with friends in this wild mix of culinary diving and animal madness.

You will need to become the ultimate restaurant boss which will include gathering ingredients, fishing, and expanding your establishment either solo or in multiplayer mode.

With adorable animals at every turn, you will also experience a semi open-world, culinary chaos and multiple mini-games and quests.
