Steam has dropped four free games that you can claim today, and one of them is an open-world RPG that you can keep forever.
It’s always nice to save money when it comes to maintaining our beloved hobby of playing video games, which is often never cheap, as we all know. This is why it can be somewhat of a blessing when we can claim some free Steam games to help pass the time and hopefully, briefly escape from our worldly woes.
As brought to our attention by the Twitter account, ‘Free Steam Games’, you can download a batch of free games on PC right now. Granted, these offerings might be somewhat of a mixed bag, but hopefully, you’ll find at least one gem from these four titles.

The first free game is called Caldra, and it's a deckbuilding game developed and published by Dolphin Star. So if you enjoy games like Balatro, this might be for you.
“Deckbuilding, tactics, and dramatic comebacks — the ultimate competitive card game! Buy and sell cards to strengthen your deck and fight for victory,” reads the description of the game. “Disrupt your opponent or seize the moment to strike. Caldra is a competitive deck-building card game driven by strategy and mind games.”

The next game is Echoes of Creation: Origin, and it's the aforementioned open-world RPG, developed by someone called Mark, published by Tarrano Dev. It looks like a low-budget, classic RPG of the 90s (that’s not a knock).
“The world was shaped by a mysterious figure known only as the Creator, who brought forth two mythical beings — the Light and the Dark,” its description reads. “After the Light sacrificed herself to save the world, the Dark seized the chance to seal her away, and darkness has crept across the land ever since. Guided by Elder Maren of Eloria Village, you set out zone by zone to free the sealed Light and confront The Forgotten One.”

Starship Theory is a simulation strategy game developed and published by Reconnect Software. After watching its gameplay trailer on Steam, it kinda reminds me of the Adobe Flash games that were popular in the 1990s and 2000s.
“Starship Theory is a ship-building survival game. Mine and trade to gather resources. Plan and construct new upgrades. Train and manage crew. Fight to survive,” reads the synopsis.

Finally, we have Richard, and no, it has nothing to do with me. Richard (again, not me) is a graphic novel developed and published by Act V Games. If you love titles such as Coffee Talk, then this could be your cup of coffee (sorry, not sorry).
“Welcome to Rose Academy, home to the brightest students in the world! Play as the new transfer student, George, as he embarks on his campaign against Richard, the most popular kid in school,” reads the synopsis. “Develop friendships, master your grades, and talk your way to earning the title of Prom King!”
So, there you have it, those are just four free Steam games that you can download right now and keep forever.
