In an astonishing turn of events, one Yu-Gi-Oh pro has managed to do the impossible by using Exodia not once but twice during a single match during the ongoing Championship Series.

Competitive Yu-Gi-Oh is no joke, especially for the professionals currently taking part in the Yu-Gi-Oh Championship Series (YCS). For the North and South American duelists, it is a chance to show off their skills in the epic trading card game as well as a chance to get their hands on the massive prize. Not only that but the top 32 players will go on to battle in the World Championship Qualifier. Like I said, it’s no joke.

After years of extensive training, the professionals that take part know all there is to know about Konami’s Yu-Gi-Oh, but what happened at a recent match was still a once in a lifetime event. Professional Jeff Leonard managed to do the impossible and take home a win by summoning Exodia twice in one match. The incredible moment was caught by Twitch streamer JoshuaSchmidtYGO.

For those who don’t know about the epic highs and lows of Yu-Gi-Oh, summoning Exodia allows players to win the game instantly. This may seem a bit overpowered but building Exodia is no easy task as players must have all five pieces of the Duel Monster split across five separate cards. Only those who have the Right and Left Arm of Exodia, The Right and Left Leg of Exodia, and the Head of Exodia can summon it. This means that during the YCS match consisting of three duels, Leonard managed to gather the five cards in two of them.

It is perhaps no surprise that the crowd at the YCS Indianapolis event went wild, including Leonard’s opponent who got swept up in the hype of such an incredible moment. Although it is going to be tough to beat this epic match, the YCS continues on 28-29 October in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. However, it remains to be seen if we will see another epic win courtesy of Exodia.
