Naughty Dog is one of the most beloved developers in the industry, firmly establishing itself as Sony’s golden goose for PlayStation.

For many, whether it be Uncharted or The Last of Us, either can be considered a system seller. However, we’re still waiting for that new Uncharted game on PlayStation 5. So get cracking Naughty Dog!

Check out The Last of Us Part I trailer below!

When the original The Last of Us was released in 2013 for PS3, it quickly established itself as one of the best video games of all time, receiving high critical acclaim for its visuals, storytelling and intense combat which saw the players survive in a post-apocalyptic world plagued by the Cordyceps virus.

At the core of its story is Ellie and Joel, a reluctant father and daughter relationship that would pull at the emotional heartstrings of fans for years to come. Joel was once a kind-hearted family man, now corrupted by this harsh new wild, while Ellie is considered to be the key to humanity's survival by a rebel group known as the Fireflies.

Unfortunately, for some that are hardcore in terms of console fanboyism, gamers may not experience what rival platforms have to offer and the thought of ditching Nathan Drake for the Master Chief or Marcus Pheonix for Kratos is inconceivable. Though, I still don’t understand why gamers can’t just enjoy the fruits of every labour.

Thankfully, one Xbox gamer has seen the light and after switching to PlayStation, has called The Last of Us the ‘greatest game ever’ and I find it hard to sway against that notion.

“Recently switched from Xbox to PS and just finished The Last of Us: Part I for the first time: This might be the greatest game I’ve ever played! Can’t wait to play Part II,” said ArcadianEuphoria.

That being said, I think this Redditor might be in for a shock with the sequel, assuming they’ve managed to avoid spoilers, as much as I love The Last of Us Part II. The Reddit thread was full of praise and words of encouragement for the newly found Cordyceps survivor.

“Good luck with Part II, gonna be the wildest journey you’ll ever have with a game as long as you keep an open mind,” suggested MorningFirm5374. “Damn, the best choice you have made was to switch Xbox for PS haha now enjoy it!” said PPrice. “My husband and I literally bought a PS just to play this too,” revealed DrGrantSeeker.

In related news, The Last of Us Part II has been hailed as the peak of video game graphics, and it is rumoured that the release of the third game is much closer than we believe.

As for immediate times, The Last of Us Part II is out now for PlayStation, while the remake of the original game, The Last of Us Part I is out for PC and PS5.
