Xbox Game Pass subscribers are losing several games this month, one of which is for the Dark Souls fans out there.
As a Dark Souls fan myself I’m always on the look out for a solid soulslike, with one of the best I’ve come across being Lies Of P.
While very few come close to FromSoftware’s mastery of the genre many put up a good effort, one of which being Lords Of The Fallen (2023).
Lords Of The Fallen was developed by Hexworks and published by CI Games, and despite getting mixed reviews from critics and players it managed to earn itself a sequel launching next year.

“A vast world awaits in the medieval, dark fantasy action-RPG, Lords of the Fallen” begins the game’s description. “As a fabled Dark Crusader, embark on an epic quest to overthrow Adyr, the demon God.”
Despite being compared to Dark Souls I’d argue it actually has more in common with Demon Souls, if we’re going off vibes alone. There’s even a bit of Bloodborne inspiration in there judging from some of the horrifying bosses you’ll encounter.

Now if you were hesitant to check the game out, because games are expensive, you’re in luck if you’re an Xbox gamer.
Lords Of The Fallen is currently available via Xbox Game Pass for console and PC, and will be accessible for those with memberships for the top two tiers.
These would be Premium, and Ultimate.
So you can jump in right now if you fancy it, and if it piques your interest I’d get straight on it if I were you as it won’t be there for much longer.
Lords Of The Fallen and several other games are being removed from Xbox Game Pass by the end of November, so if you want to play it after that you’ll have to either buy it or hope it comes to PlayStation Plus if you also own a PlayStation 5.
How much time is needed to beat the game?
We’re over halfway through November already but you still have time to download and finish Lords Of The Fallen.
HowLongToBeat reckons it’ll take you around 29 hours to beat the story, going up to 44 hours if you do sidequests and take on some optional bosses.
That’s more than enough time to finish the game if you ask me, and even if you decide the game’s not for you at least you tried it without buying it right?
