The weekend is fast approaching and those wanting to hide from the sun can check out these free downloads available from Xbox.

It is no secret that Xbox regularly adds games at no extra cost for its Xbox Game Pass subscribers. However, if you are not a subscriber, why shouldn’t you get free games too? Luckily, you can and these three examples are not ones to miss out on.

Fable will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on release in the future so check out its trailer below!

First up we have Revers Snake Extreme which is perfect for fans of the old-school Snake game on the old Nokia phones. If you’re feeling nostalgic, you can play Snake but the “extreme twist edition”. “You control the food and try not to get eaten or touch the red hot lava walls. Survive for four minutes and win or die trying.”

Next up is In the Abyss, an intense platformer suitable for all ages. Players will be tasked with trying to escape the prison home to the light creatures but if they’re caught, it’s all over. Use portals affected by gravity to maneuver through the prison’s labyrinth and see if you have what it takes to come out on top.

Last but not least is Lost Chakras, a physics based puzzle game that offers 43 individual levels to conquer and all are designed to test your thinking skills. Accompanied by relaxing music and diverse and colourful levels, this challenging yet fun game is perfect to sink a few hours into this weekend.

If you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber and want to try something else this weekend, the service has released three new games you can try right now. This selection includes an action-shooter, a strategy RPG and chaotic third-person shooter.

Additionally, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate edition recently received a price cut so this could be a perfect time to check the much-loved service out. Who doesn’t want free games each month?
