The Last of Us star Isabela Merced teases easy chemistry with Bella Ramsey

Dina and Ellie's love will survive... for now

Chemistry isn’t always guaranteed when a new member joins the cast. Thankfully, awkwardness and faking a connection isn’t going to tarnish The Last of Us season two.

Even though a lot of eyes are still admiring the success of Amazon’s Fallout, there are plenty of us eager to see where the next season of HBO’s The Last of Us takes us.

A recent season two set tease has fans already hyped (as if that hype ever calmed down to begin with), but we'd wager this latest tease is much more exciting.

Have you seen what we had to say about The Last of Us Part II Remastered?

During an interview with Collider, actor Isabela Merced, known for Madam Web and Dora and the Lost City of Gold, revealed that she has easy chemistry with her co-star Bella Ramsey.

“I’m so excited for people to see my chemistry with Bella,” said Merced. “Bella and I have so much chemistry. From the first day, it was there.”

She continued, “There’s no work to be done. I really respect Bella [...] I’m learning so much. I’m very honoured to be here."

Considering how beloved Dina and Ellie’s romance is among the fandom, it’s fantastic to hear that such palpable chemistry will be easy to see between the two actors.

Of course, with good news comes the bad, or at least less fun news. A tease from season two (there’s a lot of those of late) has confirmed Joel’s fate a lot sooner than we expected.

Fans of the games will know what we’re referring to, but for those who are fresh to the franchise via HBO’s show, seeing Pedro’s filming end so suddenly might have them worried.

You should be. But not for the reasons you may think.

Instant chemistry, shorter than expected filming, set teases – it’s all going on despite us having no clue when the second season will air.
