If you’re a fan of Prime Video’s The Boys, you’ll be thrilled to learn that spin-off series Gen V is just as cursed. Yes, it did just include a scene featuring an exploding penis, and that’s not to mention the five-foot one used in a previous episode. Help.

If anyone was concerned that Gen V might be inferior to The Boys, worry not. The show debuted on Rotten Tomatoes with an impressive score of 100%. It’s since dropped slightly to 97%, but that still places it ahead of The Boys’ overall 93%. It certainly uses The Boys’ recipe for success, albeit to tell a different story. A key ingredient of that recipe is a sprinkling of cursed. In The Boys’ third season alone, we bore witness to a superhero orgy involving an octopus and a sneezing penis explosion. Well, Gen V just debuted its own ‘outrageous’ scene - and it involved an exponentially-growing penis and a ‘c**ksplosion’.

Take a look at Gen V in action below.

Gen V recently aired its fourth episode and oh my. What an episode it was - light spoilers to follow. To recap, Marie (Jaz Sinclair) spent the episode looking for missing roommate Emma (Lizze Broadway), eventually deciding that it was worth asking classmate Rufus (Alexander Calvert) if he had any intel. Rufus, just so happens to be a psychic creep, and suggests he’d give his information to Marie in exchange for sex.

After Marie refused, Rufus gave the information to her freely but a short while after, Marie woke up in Rufus’ room to him standing over her naked. In a moment of panic, Marie used her blood-bending powers to protect herself, inflating Rufus’ penis. Eventually, the power peaks, the penis explodes, and we’re left with yet another ‘What did you just make me watch?’ moment from series creator Eric Kripke.

In an interview with Variety, Kripke referred to the scene as a “c**ksplosion”, adding that penises are “endlessly funny. They’re the weirdest looking things. They’re just hilarious.” It’s not the first time we’ve seen one in Gen V as an earlier episode featured a practical five-foot specimen.

Naturally, fans took to Twitter to react to all the cursed antics. User Carlylane wrote, “The Boys: Look how f**ked up we can be. Gen V: Hold my penis,” while genesish23ø added, “Watching Gen V AND THE PENIS SCENE?” I’m scared to find out what else this show has in store.
