Stranger Things season five has quietly recast a character from one of the most important families in the series without anyone noticing.
When season one of Stranger Things arrived on Netflix in 2016, it instantly took the entertainment industry by storm, with social media buzzing about this new TV series that everyone had to watch.
Now, nearly a decade later, Stranger Things is one of the most popular franchises in the modern entertainment industry, with fans eagerly awaiting its fifth and final season at the end of this year.
Without giving anything away (just in case you haven’t watched Stranger Things yet), El, Mike, Dustin, Will, Nancy, Steve, and friends face the final showdown with the big bad of the parallel universe they call the Upside Down.

All the character names listed above will provide familiar faces to returning fans; however, there is one name not mentioned that will not have a familiar face, and that’s the younger sister of Nancy Wheeler.
As reported by The Direct, photos taken on set and shared on the Instagram account belonging to wolfmoonfanacc078, images revealed that Nancy’s sister, Holly, will now be played by actress Nell Fisher (Evil Dead Rise).
The role of Holly Wheeler has been played by the twin duo of Anniston and Tinsley Price for the first four seasons of Stranger Things.
In the photos shown, we see the new Holly Wheeler riding a bike with the leading characters of the series.
It’s not known how big of a role the character will play in season five, but at the very least, it looks like she’ll be more involved than ever, even if it's only a little.
Stranger Things will have eight episodes split into three volumes. Volume One, which is four episodes, arrives on 26 November; Volume Two has three episodes on 25 December. Then, the final episodes will be released on 31 December 2025.
