The hit TV show Stranger Things is coming to an end this year with season five on Netflix, and details have 'leaked' regarding its ending scenes.

Fans on social media and message boards are torn on what this means for the end of the show, and how it will wrap up years of Stranger Things.

Of course, to discuss this we need to reveal potential spoilers, so if you want to remain surprised, click away now.

Even if you’ve stayed, I’d say to take this with a pinch of salt, just in case none of it turns out to be true.

Spoilers appeared on Reddit, and detail some of the story beats from the ending of the show, including Max fully recovering and going to the cinema with Lucas, Hopper proposing to Joyce, and Max teaming up with Eleven to defeat Creel.

It’s also noted that someone is seen being taken away in the back of a prison van, hinting that not everyone makes it out, though most of the kids do make it to their graduation, though notably, Eleven isn’t in attendance.

Most fans are torn over who should survive, and who should get a happy ending.

“I'm worried about El's fate,” said one Redditor, “I can think of a few other explanations for her absence beyond death, but I fear they'll parallel the end of S1 with her.”

Another user notes, “It's highly likely that El doesn't make it, cause that was always the original plan.”

“I love El and the show would be ruined for me if it was all build up to a tragic demise,” commented liminality-.

One Redditor replies, “I just want a happy ending for these characters. To hell with the 'more characters should die' schtick.”

We’ll have to wait until the end of the year to find out who makes it out alive and who gets their happy ending.
