Star Wars fans can enjoy a brand new TV release that they’ll be able to binge-watch within a day.
Disney is expected to revive its Star Wars cinematic experiences next year with The Mandalorian & Grogu, but we still have a few TV series to look forward to.
One of the more interesting projects to come out of Star Wars in recent years has been Visions, the animated anthology series that allows new directors and studios to tackle projects from that universe.
It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but the series has genuinely been so interesting for the fact that each short film feels unique and stylised from each other. It should at least mean there is something for everyone.
Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 episodes
Star Wars: Visions has just released a new third season of the anthology series, bringing nine more episodes to your Disney Plus subscriptions.

Of the nine new shorts, three of them are sequels to episodes from previous seasons. “The Duel: Payback” is a sequel to “The Duel”, while “The Ninth Jedi: Child of Hope” is a sequel to “The Ninth Jedi”. Finally, “The Lost Ones” is a sequel to “The Village Bride”.
The other six episodes are titled “The Song of Four Wings”, “The Bounty Hunters”, “Yuko's Treasure”, “The Smuggler”, “The Bird of Paradise”, and “BLACK”.
Unlike most live-action Star Wars TV shows which air their episodes week by week, all nine shorts in Star Wars: Visions Season 3 are airing on Disney Plus today. So you won’t need to wait nine weeks to see the entire season pan out.
Star Wars: Visions Season 3 was announced in November 2024, and it goes back to the roots of Season 1 by focusing on the anime medium with returning studios and new ones from Japan.
As is the case with the previous seasons, all the shorts within the volume are considered non-canon.
This doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t fit with the existing Star Wars continuity, but by making the shorts non-canon it means that each studio has the freedom to develop their shorts without being beholden to any overarching series bible or rules.
Star Wars: Visions – Volume 3 is now airing on Disney Plus. A fourth season has not been confirmed yet, though it is expected to be commissioned at some point in the near future if Disney is happy with the returns on investment for the series.
