Star Wars fans hyped as Luke Skywalker returns in new teaser

We sense a disturbance in the Force

We thought we’d seen the last of Luke Skywalker, but the Jedi is soon to return.

Naturally, the return of such a popular character has Star Wars fans excited.

Even though it’s been argued that the franchise doesn’t need Luke anymore to tell compelling stories, that’s not enough of a reason to forget him entirely.

After all, Luke kickstarted this whole series back in 1977.

Despite different stories beckoning to be told, Luke won’t be forgotten moving forward. In fact, he’ll return very soon, though not in a film, TV show, or comic.

As revealed by X account Discussing Film, Luke will “be coming to Galaxy’s Edge”.

We doubt any of you need reminding about Galaxy’s Edge or where/what it is – this is a Disney Parks experience that fans adore.

It’s one of those bucket list locations for Star Wars fans, perhaps even more so now.

For some, not having such an iconic character included from the beginning is an oversight that’s been ignored for far too long.

“It's insane he wasn't there from the beginning,” remarked @ZachBowders. “By pigeonholing this park into the sequel trilogy they left the best characters off the table.”

User @zeampzpvy commented, “Get ready for the Force to literally collide with your childhood memories.”

“Luke!” @tadashiroll exclaimed. “That's going to be awesome.”

There are a few fans who are over Luke, but there are plenty of others who’ve been waiting for this day since Disney first created Galaxy’s Edge.

Not only is Luke making a comeback, but the return of another fan-favourite has been teased as well.

Fans are hyped, as they rightly should be.

Star Wars has hit many bumps in the road since it was created, but it’s also given us some of the most emotive, thrilling, and gripping stories we’ve ever seen and/or read.

The reception to Luke’s comeback is a testament to that. Just when we think we’re done with it, something new happens that hits us in the nostalgia and pulls us right back in.
