Star Wars fans have been roasting the secret name of Jedi Master Yoda. How dare they!
Without question, Jedi Master Yoda is not only one of the most popular characters in the Star Wars universe, but he’s also one of the most powerful and wisest of them all.
Making his debut in Star Wars: Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Luke Skywalker travelled to Dagobah to find Yoda in the hope that he would impart much wisdom and begin his Jedi training to bring down the Galactic Empire once and for all, led by Darth Sidious and Darth Vader.
The very moment Yoda was introduced in Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, he won the hearts of millions of fans, a love that is still going strong to this very day.

Since that time, Yoda has been shrouded in mystery with his origins being kept under wraps, with only perhaps Star Wars creator George Lucas knowing where the ever-popular Jedi hails from.
However, Star Wars fans on Reddit may have discovered a secret name for Yoda, and it will likely take many by surprise.
“I heard some time ago that Yoda's original name in some script was Minch, but his actual name is Minch Yoda. When did that happen?” asked Redditor StealthRabbi.
As detailed on a Star Wars web archive, Yoda was originally referred to as Minch Yoda, before his name was shortened for the better.

That being said, as pointed out by StealthRabbi, a wiki entry also had Minch as Yaddle’s first name, so make of that what you will.
“I have a feeling The Child’s name will be revealed to be Minch in The Mandalorian,” joked Ecypslednerg, who we, of course, now know to be called Din Grogu, with EddieVH77 adding, “Din Minch Grogu.”
Yoda is no doubt his best name, but I’m tempted to nickname him “Jedi Master Minch” from now on.
You can watch the entire Star Wars saga right now on Disney Plus, where I doubt there'll be any references to the names Minch Yoda or Minch Yaddle.
