There have been so many “leaks” and rumours regarding Tom Holland’s next Spider-Man film, but this might actually be the first one that has some merit to it.
The rumour mill is in overdrive for this one. Spidey is gonna get the symbiote suit during the Secret Wars film. Donald Glover is coming back to play The Prowler and they’re finally gonna introduce Miles Morales into the MCU. Sydney Sweeney is reportedly going to be starring as Black Cat.
Absolutely none of these things have been confirmed since they “leaked” months ago, but this next cameo almost seems like a shoe-in at this point… considering who is involved in the project.
Destin Daniel Cretton was recently announced as the new director for the upcoming Spider-Man film, after long-time Spidey director Jon Watts revealed that they would not be returning for the fourth installment.

Brie Larson, better known to MCU fans as Captain Marvel, has featured in four of Cretton’s six films since his directorial debut back in 2012.
One of these was in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, during which Larson reprised her role as Captain Marvel in the film’s post-credits scene.
Many are also assuming that, due to the director's involvement in Shang-Chi, Simu Liu also might reprise his role alongside Brie Larson, given that the film left things on a bit of a cliffhanger regarding the origin of the Ten Rings and the beacon they were transmitting.
Considering we’re still currently unsure of exactly when Spider-Man 4 will release, it’s hard to say if it will come out before or after Avengers: Secret Wars which releases in 2027 - considering Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings’s post-credit scene was definitely setting up for Secret Wars.
Kinda hoping that Sydney Sweeney as Black Cat one is true though. Even if it’s just fan-casting at this point… that’s some damn good casting.
