New Spider-Man Officially Cast, And It's a Wonderfully Familiar Face

This week saw players able to get their hands on the upcoming MARVEL Cosmic Invasion ahead of its full launch.

With the brand-new demo giving players the opportunity to try out the superhero-filled beat ‘em up , it is no wonder that fans are eager to see which famous faces are stepping into the iconic roles.

Despite the demo being out for just a few days, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion demo players have already picked up a familiar voice and it seems as though a wonderfully familiar face has taken on the role of our favourite web slinger.

“Josh Keaton as Spider-Man for Marvel Cosmic Invasion,” one user shared to Twitter alongside a video of Keaton in action.

“Feels so good hearing him as Spider-Man again.”

Over the years, Keaton has become a fan-favourite for his role as Spider-Man across various projects.

Most recognised for playing the web-slinger in The Spectacular Spider-Man animated series as well as taking on the role of Electro in Marvel’s Spider-Man, Keaton is no stranger to the Spider-Man universe so it makes perfect sense that he has returned for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion.

“Well I guess the Spider's out of the...web..bag?” Keaton shared on Twitter in response to the viral video.

As you can imagine, fans were overjoyed to see the return of Keaton and took to the comments to share their surprise and support.

“Good to finally have you back in the webs as more than a cameo. Been too long,” user Neockwon replied.

Another fan agreed, adding, “My GOAT is back as Spidey!!!”

MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is currently taking Steam by storm as the latest Marvel Studios video game.

The beat ‘em up will allow players to choose from up to 15 of their favourite superheroes as they come together to face the deadly Annihilation Wave threatening the galaxy.

Fighting across New York City all the way to the Negative Zone, the future of the MCU will be determined in a battle across the stars.

The current MARVEL Cosmic Invasion demo will feature nine playable characters, two playable levels and multiplayer modes so it will give players the perfect opportunity to try out the game ahead of its full release later this year.

With Keaton joining the cast, it remains to be seen which other familiar faces (or voices) will be revealed over the next few months but for now, it seems as though Marvel has another hit video game on its hands.
