One of Thor and Thor: The Dark World’s biggest stars seems to have completely forgotten that they’re part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and fans think that’s very on brand for the actor in question.
Being an actor must be kind of weird sometimes. If you’re lucky and successful, you might feature in three or four TV shows and/or movies a year, so there’s barely enough time to savour a project before you unceremoniously move on to the next one.
Forgetting you were in one or two projects? Yeah, I could see that happening.
However, it seems Kat Dennings has forgotten that she’s technically been in five separate MCU entries in Disney’s franchise… one of which came out last year.

"I went to Avengers Campus at Disneyland and people were waving at me and I forgot why,” Dennings revealed in an Instagram post.
“I genuinely forgot why."
Kat. You were literally in What If…? in 2024. You’re telling me you forgot recording that dialogue where you raised a half-duck baby with Howard the Duck?
Over on the r/marvelstudios subreddit, fans mostly just found it very funny that Dennings seemingly forgot she’s part of Hollywood’s biggest film franchise.
“It always surprises me whenever actors forget they starred in something, especially when that thing is as big as the MCU,” commented user Orange7567.
“I love that this implies that she not only forgot that she's been in several MCU projects but that she also forgot that she's an actor and celebrity,” replied another user.
Now, to be fair to Dennings, I don’t think she was stating exactly that she forgot she was in the MCU… five times. I think she kind of just forgot that she was famous entirely.
However, I can’t blame her for attempting to wipe the memory of that Howard the Duck episode from her brain. Lord knows I’m still trying to.
