MCU fans rejoice as Moon Knight's return officially confirmed

Is a second season on its way?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Head of Television recently spilled the news that, yes, they do remember who Moon Knight is, and they definitely have plans to bring him back in one way or another.

Speaking with Comicbook in a recent interview, Marvel’s Television head Brad Winderbaum spilled the beans on all things Moon Knight-related.

“So I think Marvel Television has happened in waves, and I think Moon Knight happened in a wave of shows that were going to establish characters that would tie-in to the future,” Winderbaum told Comicbook.

“And moving forward our priorities have shifted. We’re making shows as shows that can exist as annual releases, more like television. I would love to see a Moon Knight Season 2, but there are plans for Moon Knight down the road.”

Over on Culture Crave’s Bluesky post detailing the news, fans were thrilled to hear that Marvel isn’t quite done with the character yet.

“Season 2? Maybe?” commented user @5kiper.bsky.social, “I had a fun time with the first one. Oscar Isaac performance was great.”

“Misread this at first and thought there were NO plans,” replied user @magma.posts.art, “This is the best news of my life.”

Although Winderbaum’s comments are a little non-commital, I do think this is a pretty clear cut sign that some more Moon Knight will be coming our way - but potentially just not in the form of a Disney+ series.

He could always cameo in another series, or perhaps even pop up as a main character in the upcoming Marvel Zombies show, but I think it would be far more likely that we see Moon Knight appear in one of the grander MCU films - like for instance Avengers: Secret Wars.

Given Winderbaum’s comments, we probably won’t have too long to wait until we find out. Sounds like the Feige has something specific planned.
