Marvel fans have now had confirmation on who one of the characters’ parents are, and it’s caused a bit of a stir online.

Family trees are pretty weird in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially with all the multiverse stuff introducing new versions of characters to the mix, like Maria Rambeau being a normal human in one reality, then Captain Marvel, and then Binary, it all gets a little confusing.

Then there’s Wanda Maximoff’s kids, who aren’t really her kids but kind of are at the same time? It’s weird

Agatha All Along tried to tackle this with the inclusion of Wiccan to the team, but there was some other family drama going on at the same time, Agatha’s son Nicky.

Showrunner Jac Schaeffer recently confirmed that Nicky’s parents in the show were Agatha and Rio, also known as Death.

What should have been a simple reveal since the show likely isn’t getting a second season quickly led to a bit of outrage online, with some awful takes bringing up the biology of a supernatural witch having a child with Death itself.

“How is that possible?” and “That's not how biology works” were just a few of the comments talking about the reveal.

Another added “Too bad that what she says is completely irrelevant since if it isn't said in the show or any other place in the MCU, it ain't official and the actual people who decided the story of the franchise can change it.”

The more levelhead fans out there though had the show’s back, like one who said “Rio is the incarnation of Death, she can take any form she wants so yeah biology would still work here. Not to mention we’re talking about Death having a kid, so might wanna ease up.”

As for those saying it’s not canon because it didn’t come up in the show, give it time, I don’t think Agatha All Along is the last time we’ll see these characters.
