Marvel fans hyped as Scarlet Witch and Vision finally reunite for new series

Nice to have them back together for One More Day...

Marvel is bringing back their third most popular married couple, The Vision and Scarlet Witch, this May, and fans couldn’t be happier to see their wedding vows renewed.

Actually, do Mary Jane and Peter Parker even count as one of the most popular Marvel couples any more? You know, after everything that happened in One More Day and whatever is going on in Zeb Wells’ current Spidey run? Maybe I should bump Vision and Scarlet Witch up to second place…

Anyway, yesterday Marvel announced that Wanda and Vision will be reuniting in a five-issue limited series later on this year to celebrate their marriage.

“The next chapter in one of comics' greatest love stories arrives this May!” reveals the press release on the official Marvel website, “Celebrating the 50th anniversary of their iconic wedding in GIANT-SIZE AVENGERS (1974) #4, Scarlet Witch and Vision are back together in THE VISION & THE SCARLET WITCH.”

While fans are definitely excited for the event, commenters over in a thread on the r/comicbooks subreddit fear that it might only be a tease and that the couple might not officially re-tie the knot.

Marvel fans can enjoy Captain America: Brave New World in just a few days time.

“I wonder if Marvel would allow them to get back together at this point,” commented user AporiaParadox, “Looks interesting regardless. I prefer this look for white Vision than Byrne's original design.”

“I just need them to become a couple again and stay that way,” replied user vivianvisionsburner, “SW&QS mini and the current Avengers series both have them flirt and both writers clearly want them together - just no more playing coy, please.”

Personally I’m just surprised they didn’t do an event like this sooner, to capitalise on the popularity of the couple in the MCU.

Although, given that the Marvel editorial does like to match events in the comics up with the events of the MCU… perhaps this is a hint to what we can expect out of Vision and Wanda in the MCU’s future.
