The Ultimates include Iron Lad, Doom, Captain America, Hawkeye, Thor, Sif, She-hulk, Giant-Man, Wasp, America Chavez, and The Human Torch.
Some of those characters are familiar, but their origins have been radically altered.
Take Thor as a fine example of this.
Rather than being the golden boy of Asgard, he was falsely imprisoned for treason after the Maker helped Loki gain control.
There’s also the tragic tale of Reed Richards; the Maker welded an iron mask on his face, forcing him to become Doom.

As far as some fans are concerned, this is the “best” content Marvel has produced “in years”.
“This is the greatest thing to come out of Marvel Comics in a long time, I haven't missed a single issue coming out of the Ultimates universe,” posted @breezuskhrist, further emphasising how well-received this new team has been.
Not only is the community blown away with the originality of the series, but they’re also in awe of the “impeccable” artwork that’s brought the story to life.
Marvel is far from done with its surprises though.
