New lineup just dropped

We know we’ve referenced a new Avengers lineup before, but this isn’t just rumour or gossip, this is the real deal.

In a new Marvel trailer, we’ve got our first look at the new team.

Although this is an official MCU Avengers lineup, it’s one with a twist because it happens in What If...?

Season three of the Disney series, which also happens to be its last, will begin airing episodes on 22 December.

While there’s still a few days to wait before we can tune in, a new trailer has been revealed that gives us one final sneak peek before the new season begins.

We don’t see much, to be honest.

A new trailer for What If...? is here!

However, snap shots taken from each of the eight episodes reveals the Avengers being led by Sam Wilson.

You’ll also spot X-Men's Storm wielding Mjonir, as well as Moon Knight joining the Avengers.

We might not be getting Moon Knight in a second live-action series, but we’ll always have this.

“Season three follows classic characters as they make unexpected choices that will mutate their worlds into spectacular alternate versions of the MCU,” is the tagline for the final season, and really highlights the marrying together of old and new.

This isn’t the only new MCU unveiling we’ve been treated to.

Fans have also laid eyes on their new Cyclops, though with this new imagining comes a “tragic backstory”.

While not tragic, Spider-Man's origin has undergone a controversial transformation in a new MCU series that’s dividing fans.

There’s a lot happening in the MCU right now; some amazing, some heartbreaking.

We can’t wait to see the trials and tribulations the new Avengers team will face in What If...?

Remember to tune in from 22 December to start viewing the final season.
