Marvel has dropped the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Iron Man sequel that’s coming to Disney Plus next year.

The sequel in question is Ironheart, a new series starring the character Riri Williams played by Dominique Thorne, who we were first introduced to in the MCU with 2022’s, Black Pantha: Wakana Forever.

Check out the Look Ahead on Disney Plus trailer below!

Created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Mike Deodato, Ironheart is a relatively new character in the world of Marvel. The character who is inspired by Tony Stark made her comic debut in Invincible Iron Man Vol.3 #7 in May 2016.

This week, Marvel released a new trailer teasing us what’s to come on Disney Plus in the next year, and it not only featured the aforementioned Ironheart but also Daredevil: Born Again, Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, Marvel Zombies and more.

“Genius teenage inventor Riri Williams creates the most advanced suit of armour since Iron Man,” reads the brief synopsis of the mini-series, Ironheart. You can catch a quick glimpse of Ironheart, 39 seconds into the trailer above.

“Glad we finally get to see more of her. And her suit is looking CLEAN,” said iammpemba, replying to a tweet from DiscussingFilm.

“I’m actually looking forward to watching this,” replied dwontlose.

“Let’s go! Gotta see it immediately,” exclaimed ProfPressure.

It must be said that judging by most of the comments on the thread, there are a lot of Marvel fans not looking forward to this series and given the recent track record of some recent series’ on Disney Plus, that scepticism is understandable.

That being said, I really hope that Ironheart is an enjoyable series and that it knocks it out of the park from the get-go. Only time will tell.

Ironheart is currently scheduled to premiere on Disney Plus on 24 June 2025.
