If you’re missing the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Iron-Man, this upcoming Disney Plus series may not scratch the itch, but it could be the perfect way to introduce this beloved character to the younger folk in your life.

You see, as much as it pains me to say it, Robert Downey Jr’s version of the character is dead and gone - and nothing can undo that.

Well, that’s what I’m hoping for. We don’t know how that RDJ Victor Von Doom casting is going to play out.

Outside of the MCU canon though, Iron Man is set to appear in the upcoming animated Marvel’s Iron Man and His Awesome Friends.

This delightful Disney Jr. series is set to make its debut in summer 2025, and will stream worldwide on Disney Plus.

ICYMI: The first trailer for Marvel’s Thunderbolts* has landed. Take a look at the film in action below.

Marvel’s Iron Man and His Awesome Friends will see Tony Stark unite with Riri Williams/Ironheart and Amadeus Cho/Iron Hulk.

“Iron Man is the character that launched Marvel Studios and will always be especially beloved here as the hero that made the MCU possible,” Marvel Studios head of TV Brad Winderbaum said.

“That’s why we’re so excited to partner with the incredible team at Disney Branded Television and bring Iron Man to a new audience. Together we are building a series that introduces the most brilliant scientists and inventors in the Marvel Universe as they share in fun armoured adventures.”

Mason Blomberg will be voicing Tony, with Kapri Ladd as Riri, and Aidyn Ahn as Amadeus.

Sure, this series has been made with a younger-skewing audience in mind so it’s not going to have mass appeal with MCU fans.

But if you’re someone with kids and you want to introduce them to one of your favourite franchises, this sounds like a charming little show that I’m sure even parents will enjoy tuning into.
