It is hard to believe that it has almost been a year since Marvel’s Blade was first announced.

Since then, eager players have received little to no information, not even a release date, so a recent post by developers Arkane Studios was a shock to say the least.

Check out the announcement trailer for Marvel's Blade below!

First announced during 2023’s The Game Awards, Marvel’s Blade is an upcoming title stemming from a collaboration between Arkane Studios, Bethesda and Xbox.

Arriving alongside a short debut trailer, it is based on the Marvel Comics character Blade and features an original narrative that draws from the comic book lore.

Arkane Studios, who has previously worked on Dishonoured and Deathloop, said the following about the upcoming title.

“In Marvel’s Blade, Eric Brooks is the legendary Daywalker, half-man, half-vampire torn between the warm society of the living and the rushing power of the undead.

From Bethesda and Arkane Lyon, the studio that brought you Dishonored and Deathloop, Marvel’s Blade is a mature, single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris, now in development in collaboration with Marvel Games.”

However, as mentioned, there has been hardly any information about the title since December of last year.

That is until now.

Thanks to art shared by Sébastien Mitton, the art/co-creative director at Arkane, we now have another look at Blade himself.

The art depicts all of the characters who have previously featured in Arkane’s titles but in the back-left part of the image, we can see the man himself.

Wearing his familiar glasses and rocking some vampire fangs, this is the first time we have seen Arkane’s Blade since the teaser trailer.

Now for the bad news.

Despite his appearance, there was no other mention of Marvel’s Blade so we are still none the wiser as to when we can expect this highly-anticipated game.

However, at least we now know that Arkane hasn’t given up on him.
