Since its release just over a month ago, Marvel Rivals has taken the gaming sphere by storm and continues to hit new highs with the launch of its first official season.

Released back on 5 December, Marvel Rivals is the latest team-based PvP shooter on the market and the collaboration between NetEase Games and Marvel Games has been a hit to say the least.

Check out Marvel's Blade announcement trailer below!

Now a month on from launch and Marvel Rivals is welcoming its first season today which comes with a brand-new battle pass, characters and lore.

One such piece of lore is dedicated to the vampire-slaying, Blade himself who, although not yet a playable hero in the game, has still been featured to welcome in the new split.

Season 1, titled Eternal Night Falls, will be centered around the villain Dracula and key art has shown Blade and Dracula locked in a battle to the death.

Posted by insider Miller Ross, the art, which will be included in the Marvel Rivals in-game gallery, gives us our first glimpse at Blade who is trying to defend New York against the vampire’s attack.

At the feet of the fighting pair is the body of horned Asgardian monster, Ratatoskr who has seemingly been overpowered by Dracula.

Although this is an incredible piece of artwork, it still gives us no indication as to when Blade will officially be added to the game.

However, with Marvel Rivals season one being centered around a vampire plague, it would make sense for him to arrive before its end.

Until then, Invisible Woman and Mr. Fantastic have been added to the ever-growing roster as of today, with Human Torch and The Thing arriving mid-way through the season.

Marvel Rivals is also adding ten brand-new skins which are available to earn via the battle pass as well as a new mode, quality of life changes, nerfs and buffs and a whole lot more so if you are yet to dive into the epic new PvP shooter, now is your chance.
