Marvel fans are getting hyped at the silver screen’s next attempt at getting it right with the Fantastic Four franchise.

When it comes to live-action Marvel adaptations, it’s probably fair to say that Fantastic Four has had a raw deal and fans will be hoping that the next attempt, this time in the MCU, will get it right.

Check out the 1994 Fantastic Four (unreleased) trailer below!

First, there was an unrealised movie in 1994 and judging by its trailer, no matter how comically bad it seems, I think we all dodged a bullet.

Then we had Fantastic Four (2005), Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), and finally, another Fantastic Four (2015), the latter potentially being the worst of the bunch.

So to say that a lot is riding on The Fantastic Four: First Steps in 2025 would be an understatement. The main cast of the latest reboot includes Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm).

The Fantastic Four: First Steps will also be the first MCU movie to kick-start Phase 7.

While we are yet to see its first trailer, as shared by The Hollywood Handle, we now have its synopsis and fans are thrilled.

“The film follows Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm as they face their most daunting challenge yet,” the synopsis begins.

“Forced to balance their roles as heroes with the strength of their family bond, they must defend Earth from a ravenous space god called Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner).”

It concludes: “And if Galactus’ plan to devour the entire planet and everyone on it weren’t bad enough, it suddenly gets very personal.”

Much of the Twitter thread responded positively.

“This movie actually seems promising! We may be getting an actual Fantastic Four that is really fantastic,” said PeterH4Writing.

“The synopsis looks more promising,” Kathira46482094 replied.

“The plot sounds epic,” exclaimed johnp9697. “Galactus and Silver Surfer are going to make this a wild ride for the Fantastic Four!”

“A live-action Galactus? Sign me up!” said an enthusiastic Ryanm7288.

At the time of writing, The Fantastic Four: First Steps has a release date of 25 July 2025 but it’s worth keeping in mind that there’s always the possibility of it being delayed.
