Yet another rumour is circulating, pointing at Henry Cavill joining the MCU, and while some may very well want to see the actor jump over to Marvel, plenty of others just don’t see it.
Strike me down, but I fall into the latter category. Henry Cavill seems like a lovely dude, but just because he’s a bit of a nerd, doesn’t mean he needs to be attached to every single pop culture film or TV show.

The actor has, of course, already played Superman and Geralt, he’s also spearheading the Warhammer 40K project over at Amazon.
However, Cavill has reportedly had talks with Marvel about making the jump into the MCU, and one leaker thinks it will be as Wolverine in a World War Hulk film.
It appears this rumour started over on Facebook, of all places, as an account posted a picture of Cavill next to an image of The Hulk, claiming the actor has been confirmed for the role.
It’s quite obviously fake, and only exists to earn clicks and comments from MCU fans - there has been no confirmation that a World War hulk film is even planned, let alone that Cavill will come back as an alternate Wolverine.
Sometimes I have to wonder if these supposed leakers know anything at all, and aren’t just pulling random actors out of thin air, along with a random Marvel character.
At the time of writing this, Cavill has not confirmed any links with Marvel, and Marvel has not commented on the Superman actor becoming an MCU character.
At one point, Cavill stated that he’d love to play a modern incarnation of Captain Britain, but that’s as far as the connection goes.
So, if you’ve seen any news on social media saying the actor is ‘confirmed as Wolverine’ then I think you’re seeing some hopeful fans, rather than anything actual confirmation.
