Following the success of Deadpool & Wolverine back in July, the unlikely duo are back and this time, they are going to have to deal with an even bigger threat.

Marvel’s latest feature film, Deadpool & Wolverine, took the Box Office by storm this summer with the superhero movie staying on top of the charts for consecutive weeks.

Now a few months on and fans are still eager to see the Merc with the Mouth and the Best There Is team up once again.

Luckily, this is not the last time we will see Wade and Logan team up as a brand-new series is set to follow their story across multiple volumes.

Courtesy of writer Benjamin Percy and artist Joshua Cassara, Deadpool/Wolverine is an upcoming ongoing series by Marvel Comics.

The series will follow Logan and Wade (the latter of which is currently kind of dead but is set to be resurrected in Cody Ziglar’s Deadpool series) as they meet a familiar face from Team X.

Set to kick off with Deadpool/Wolverine #1 in January 2025, the series will reportedly feature the return of Christoph “Maverick” Nord who was first introduced back in 1991 with Wolverine (Vol.2).

In Wolverine #9, Logan took the time to describe Maverick.

“Maverick is the best kind of b*****d. The best kind of b*****d is worth having around, but only if there’s beers to be drank or bullets to be dodged.

You can’t trust him with your wife but you can trust him with your life’ kind of deal.

Long as you’re playing for the same team, that is. Long as you’re dodging the same bullets. But like every pretty boy, he only really cares about one person, and that’s numero uno.”

So on that note, it will be interesting to see how he is portrayed and how he fits into this brand-new story.

On that note, the official synopsis for Deadpool/Wolverine #1 reads as follows:

“WADE AND LOGAN – TOGETHER AGAIN!

The most unlikely team-up turned most demanded one, Deadpool and Wolverine are back!

Together again and ready to blow your minds in this ongoing series that hits like a never-ending action movie – with the fate of the world in the balance!

When a fan-favorite villain is unearthed, you’ll get to see a new side of our heroes and their adversary, as an ages-long plan comes to fruition.

And the only thing that stands between the Earth and annihilation is the Best There Is and the Merc With The Mouth.”
