The most terrifying Marvel symbiote, Carnage, is getting his own horror series, leading up to another climactic battle with his most-hated enemy, Venom.

As I’m sure we all know, Carnage is the offspring of the fan-favourite symbiote Venom, possessing all of the same powers but with a more unhinged personality, thanks to his bonding with the deranged serial killer Cletus Kasady.

Speaking of symbiotes, Venom is set to appear in the new Marvel's Spider-Man 2 game, check it out below!

Recently, the Spider-Man symbiote went on a multiversal adventure called Death of the Venomverse, which saw him invading different versions of reality and killing the Venom that lived there.

Powered up by various new abilities he stole from other Marvel Universe villains, Carnage went on an unstoppable killing spree but is now ready to face off against his one true enemy, his version of Eddie Brock and Venom.

Before he does that though, he needs to track down his original, and preferred host, Cletus Kasady.

Writer Torunn Grønbekk recently spoke about what we can expect to see from the new series, saying it’ll “reveal new levels of depravity and savagery from Marvel's most terrifying villain as he continues his dark ascent to power."

He went on to say: "I knew writing Carnage would be an opportunity to explore some pretty dark themes, but I am surprised and delighted to find that the darkness is coming from some unexpected places. It is my kind of horror—overwhelmingly gruesome but still rooted firmly in humanity. Expect big symbiote action, mysteries, myth, and murder. This is gospel, according to Cletus Kasady, and he is the end of the world as we know it."

The events of the new Carnage series will apparently lead into the next major Venom storyline, making it required reading for fans looking forward to Eddie Brock’s next adventure.

The first issue, Carnage #1 will be available on the 15th of November later this year.
