HBO’s Harry Potter TV reboot is set to begin filming this summer, and the building of the show’s sets is now well underway.
I’ll admit, I’m still a tad dubious about the series; I have no doubt that it will be made with a deep care for the source material, but so too were the original films which remain as beloved today as they were in the 00s and 10s.
I just wonder how fans will react to a new interpretation, but it does seem to be shaping up nicely.

Harry Potter has begun to build out its cast with Paapa Essiedu as Snape, Janet McTeer as McGonagal, Nick Frost as Hagrid, Paul Whitehouse as Filch, and John Lithgow as Dumbledore.
The younger cast members are yet to be confirmed following a worldwide search.
What is now happening is that the series’ sets are being built.
It was previously confirmed that the show would mesh together original film designs and locations with new and reimagined ones.

In both cases, ‘new’ sets will need to be built as many of the originals are available for fans to tour at the Warner Bros. Studios Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter.
Internal sets will be hard to catch a glimpse of, but outdoor sets are more easily spotted via drones and someone has managed to secure a glimpse of Harry’s muggle home, Privet Drive.
There’s only a short teaser for the series available at present.
The image was posted, along with a few short video clips, by Twitter user UnBoxPHD.

Take a look for yourself at Privet Drive below.
Fair to say, the Dursley’s abode in the rebooted TV series looks set to be far more lavish than its OG film counterpart.
In the film series, the Dursleys hail from a modest, semi-detached home; here, we’re looking at slightly larger detached properties that’d certainly cost a couple hundred grand more.

Overall though, fans seem to be pleased with what they're seeing.
“I love the Tudor style homes!!!!! I always imagine them to be like this while reading the books,” wrote Twitter user leopotter788.
“So they're going on a totally different aspect, interesting. Can't wait to see what they'll do with Hogwarts,” added quentinjacquey.
The size of the set is massive, and Privet Drive is just one of many locations in Harry Potter.

I can’t imagine how the series' young main trio must be feeling knowing the scale of the world they’re about to step into.
