It pains me to say this, but there are only two episodes left of this season of HBO’s The Last of Us - and it sounds as if filming may not get underway on season three until 2026.
I can’t do anything to speed up that process, but I can offer you something that may ease the pain.
The Last of Us is one of the greatest video game adaptations of all-time, perhaps the best; if there’s another title vying for the top spot though, it’s Fallout.

Prime Video’s Fallout blew us all away with its fantastic first season last year and fair to say, many of us have been yearning to see Lucy, Ghoul, and Maximus back on our screens.
Well, it’s good news folks; that’s probably going to happen sooner rather than later.
ICYMI: We played snog, marry, irradiate with the cast of Fallout.
It’s been confirmed that Fallout has wrapped filming on its second season.

“Achievement unlocked! Fallout Season 2 has wrapped production,” read a tweet from the official Fallout account.
Of course, that means the series is now in post-production so time needs to be accounted for editing, sound, visual effects etc.
Even still, it’s very possible that we could see season two land in late 2025.
That’s not a guarantee; Fallout could slip into early 2026, but a return this year is definitely a possibility.

A short clip accompanied the tweet showing Walton Goggins ripping off his Ghoul make-up in celebration of being done for the season.
“Extremely seated already,” replied the official Xbox Twitter account.
“I hope the show-runners did as good a job on S2 as they did on S1 and not pull a Witcher on us,” added SavageOnTheSun.
There’s a few things that we can deduce about season two.

Following Hank’s Vault-Tec reveal, I’m imagining we’ll pick back up as Lucy and Ghoul attempt to track down additional members, such as Ghoul’s wife Barb.
The end of season one appeared to tease that the journey will take them to New Vegas, a beloved location for video game fans.
As for Maximus, well, he ended up with the cold fusion device so it’ll be interesting to see how the use of that plays out.
Of course, as soon as anything in the way of a trailer or release date does drop, we’ll be sure to update you.
