Stranger Things has finally come to an end after almost a decade on air but there has been one standout performance that has got fans hoping for a beloved DCU role.
Since arriving on Netflix, Stranger Things has become one of the most popular television shows of all time before finally coming to an end on 31 December with episode The Rightside Up.
With everybody’s fates sealed, and others left open to interpretation, fans have been discussing what will happen next to its steadfast cast, especially Jamie Campbell Bower.
Bower, who is best known for his roles in a multitude of fandoms such as Twilight, Harry Potter, and The Mortal Instruments, took on the role of Henry Creel/Vecna in Stranger Things.

As the main antagonist in season four and five, Bower effortlessly played both the prosthetic-covered Vecna and more human looking Henry Creel as he terrorised a bunch of children but there is no denying that his performance was one of the standouts.
So it is perhaps no surprise that fans have high hopes for his future in the acting world.
This comes after the @Everything_DCU X account reposted a post from the official Netflix account which showcased some of Bower’s best moments in the finale of Stranger Things.
“Jamie Campbell Bower, the legend you are,” the post reads.
In response, the @Everything_DCU account wrote, “Him as DCU’s Joker or Scarecrow would be fire.”
It has been a while since Scarecrow appeared on the big screen with his last portrayal being by Cillian Murphy in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy.
As for the Joker, he has played a much larger role in the DC Universe, being portrayed by actors such as Heath Ledger, Joaquin Phoenix, and Jared Leto in recent years.
However, it seems as though this fancast has inspired fans with the Tweet getting multiple replies in support.
“Scarecrow or even Mad Hatter would be fantastic,” one user suggested.
“Joker needs a nap for a while.”
“Joker would be the one!” Another added.
“He’s got the face for Scarecrow! But I think his skills would cause him to be the best Joker since Heath!”
With many people tagging James Gunn in the hopes that the director will be inspired by the fancast, it remains to be seen if Bower will have a future in the DCU.
Let’s face it, with the Harry Potter and Twilight franchises already under his belt, the English actor has one impressive job history.
