Buffy The Vampire Slayer is coming back, with a new Audible series all about the Big Bad himself, Spike the vampire.

The series will be premiering on the Audible app next month, and will star several returning cast members from the TV show. This includes James Marsters, Charisma Carpenter, Anthony Head, Juliet Landau, Emma Caulfield Ford, Amber Benson, James Charles Leary, and Danny Strong.

Check out the latest gameplay from NBA 2K24 below!

Titled Slayers: A Buffyverse Story, the series will be set 20 years after the finale of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and will follow Spike on his adventures in Los Angeles, where he comes across a young slayer whom he must protect. His adventure will then find him coming face to face with an alternate version of his old flame, Drusilla.

James Marsters, who played Spike in the original series and is now reprising his role, spoke about his excitement for the series, saying: "I'm ecstatic to be back with my dear friends for this next chapter in the Buffyverse, as we take listeners on a familiar but unexpected journey chock full of horror, passion and mischief … I'm excited for old and new fans to experience this beloved world of vampire slaying like never before, brought to life through immersive audio storytelling."

The series description reads: “Slayers: A Buffyverse Story offers a fresh, dynamic take on a cult-classic that takes listeners on a fun and nostalgic ride … The all-star cast reprising beloved roles, as well as newcomers, bring to life a storyline that will entertain fans of the original series and pull in first-time Sunnydale visitors."

While Buffy herself won’t be starring in the series, it’s got more than enough star power to get long-time fans interested.

Slayers: A Buffyverse Story will premiere on Audible on 12 October.
