Tony “Birdman” Hawk wants that Tony Hawk’s Underground remaster just as much as the rest of us, there’s just a little something he has to get out of the way beforehand…
During the THPS Fest event on Thursday last week, Tony Hawk himself fielded a bunch of questions regarding the upcoming release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4.
Although the game is a couple of months out yet, fans are already curious about what Activison’s plans are for the franchise moving forward– and it sounds like Tony himself is just as curious as we are.

Screen Rant asked Tony Hawk if Activison has anything up their sleeve following the release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4, and it sounds like there will be… well, at least if Tony Hawk has anything to do with it.
“I always have aspirations,” Hawk told Screen Rant.
“It's not up to me generally. I'll campaign all I can, but I'm working with a much bigger company that's a lot smarter than me.”
Screen Rant followed up their question by specifically asking Hawk if there’s any plans to remaster Tony Hawk’s Underground after Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4 drops.

“Yeah, we haven't even released this game” he replied.
So, basically, maybe?
Look it’s not exactly an exact confirmation, but it sounds like our chances of a Tony Hawk’s Underground remaster directly hinge on the sales of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4.
Personally, even though I love the Pro Skater series, I’m kind of surprised Activision didn’t opt to move onto the Underground games directly after Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2.

It’s not even that I have a preference for Underground over Pro Skater, but rather that I’m pretty sure the Underground games were way, way more popular. I think everyone I knew as a kid had a copy of Tony Hawk's Underground.
Either way, I’m just glad Activision is giving these games the love they deserve. Maybe after we’re done with all these remasters, you can chuck a new entry in the series our way too?
