Lara Croft is back in a brand new trailer, and, phew… good lord. She’s certainly, um, detailed?
It’s been a while since we got a new Tomb Raider game. Actually, maybe it would be better to say that it’s been a while since we got a new Tomb Raider game that wasn’t a mobile title or a remastered collection.
The last time we saw a new, mainline entry in the franchise was back in 2018, with the release of Square Enix’s Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
Well, it’s gonna be a lot longer until we do get a new one, because the latest Tomb Raider trailer doesn’t feature anything that resembles gameplay. It does feature some goon-play, though? Get it? Like gunplay? Anyway.

Wētā Workshop, the New Zealand-based special effects and collectable manufacturing company, best known for their work on Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy, just revealed a behemoth of a Tomb Raider statue in a new trailer– and it’s probably going to set you back a pretty penny.
The "Lara Croft: Quest for Avalon" statue is based on Lara's appearance in Tomb Raider: Underworld, but, according to the designers, it’s also taking inspiration from some of the more recent entries in the franchise developed by Crystal Dynamics.
Over on Twitter, several people in the comments are already chomping at the bit to get their hands on this.
“THAT’s what I’m talking about. Sorry, bank account. But I’ve got this”, commented user @tonybeayno.

“Majestic is the only word I can think of to describe this figure”, replied user @D_Daniele19.
Honestly, I think it looks incredible. I’m not even a Tomb Raider fan myself, and even I’m tempted to order this one.
Uh, but not in like… a gooner kind of way. I get that it’s really detailed in certain areas, but I just appreciate the craftsmanship, I swear!
