There is no denying that 2025 has been another epic year of video game releases but now that the dust has settled somewhat, it is time to catch up with some underrated bangers.
Better yet? They are currently completely free to play.
This is courtesy of PlayStation Plus which has added another six epic games to its Extra and Premium libraries.
So if you are on the lookout for a free game but ones that are no less fun than their paid counterparts, then you are guaranteed to find something on this list.

Available throughout the rest of July and available in the EU, UK, AU, US, and India, the games are as follows:
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden - a 2024 RPG that follows the story of a pair of ghost hunters who must go on a mission to investigate a small but haunted community known as New Eden.
New World: Aeternum - a thrilling RPG set on the supernatural island of Aeternum. Channel supernatural forces or wield deadly weapons as you engage in PvE and PvP battles and forge a new destiny for yourself.
Risk of Rain 2 - a roguelike third-person shooter and a sequel to 2013’s Risk of Rain. Play as a survivor stranded on an alien planet and learn how to survive hostile environments, take down monsters, level up and even take on online multiplayer.

Bluey: The Videogame - based on the much-loved television show with the same name, this adventure game will see players explore and solve puzzles across four different maps. With minigames exploring platforming, stickers to collect and 1-4 player multiplayer, this is one for all the family.
Tropico 6: Next Gen Edition - a construction, management and political simulation game in the Tropico franchise. Now with 4K resolution, players can manage multiple islands at the same time, control their agents, and look after their citizens in a dog-eat-dog world.
Planet Zoo - a 2019 construction and management sim and the spiritual successor to Zoo Tycoon. Players are tasked with building an award-winning zoo by handling over 76 animal species, each with their own AI controlled behaviour. Just be ready for a whole lot of chaos.
