Geralt of Rivia is making a surprise comeback next year, although he’ll probably look a little smaller than you remember…
Expectations are at an all-time high for The Witcher 4, and CD Projekt RED has got a lot of work ahead of them if they want to deliver.
Even though CD Projekt RED has been very clear about Ciri taking over the lead role in the upcoming game, fans are still hoping that The Witcher’s original protagonist will in some way feature in the story.
Although we don’t know exactly which route the writers are planning to take with The Witcher 3’s ending, the good news is that Geralt lives no matter what choices you make at the end of the game, so there is a very solid chance that he will pop up in The Witcher 4 somewhere along the way.

If you just can’t wait to see your white-haired bae again though, great news: you'll be reunited with him again in 2026… uh, sort of.
As revealed by the official The Witcher Twitter account, a brand new Geralt plushie is dropping in Q3 of 2026, and you can even pre-order it as we speak (as long as you live in the United States).
Surprisingly, fans are pretty hyped to get their hands on this chibi version of the White Wolf.
“A little Gerald... so cute!” commented user @Danilo_Riga.

“OMG!!!!! I love it!!!!” replied user @CheeseWarlord.
Personally I think it looks like some cheap tat, but I’m just a grumpy old man who hates the chibi artstyle so, you can safely ignore me if you think it looks cool.
Still, if people are getting this excited for a little plushie, god knows how excited they’re going to be if Geralt actually does end up making a cameo appearance in The Witcher 4.
