With The Witcher 4 in active development, fans are left wondering what they can expect from the highly-anticipated sequel to Wild Hunt.

In development since 2022, The Witcher 4 is in full swing and following on from the success of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, CD Projekt Red has a lot to live up to.

Whilst waiting for the next entry, check out the trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt below!

Although we have yet to receive news as to what we can expect from the next entry, the biggest question centres around who will be our next main character.

With many fans hoping it will be Geralt of Rivia’s surrogate daughter, Ciri, it remains to be seen.

However, it appears as though Geralt’s voice actor Doug Cockle will still be making an appearance in The Witcher 4, albeit not as the main character.

This news comes courtesy of YouTube channel Fall Damage which saw Cockle appear and share some news about the upcoming entry.

When asked if Geralt would be appearing, Cockle said: “What we know is that Geralt will be part of the game, we just don’t know how much, and the game won’t focus on Geralt.”

However, the actor also admits that he could be lying through his teeth and we could be in for quite a shock so it is worth taking this news with a pinch of salt.

That being said, with the events of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its subsequent DLCs bringing Geralt’s story to a firm conclusion, we are inclined to believe him.

With The Witcher 4 not yet receiving a release date, it remains to be seen when we can expect the highly anticipated sequel.

However, now we at least know we will hear Geralt’s gruff tones in at least some capacity.
