Despite The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt first being released almost a decade ago, one player has recently discovered a helpful combat feature a lot of us most surely missed.

Released back in 2015 and cementing itself as one of the best RPGs of all time, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has gone on to be played by millions and has gained itself a stellar reputation.

Check out the trailer for The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine below!

Inspiring a hit Netflix adaptation, fans are desperate for more adventures starring our favourite monster-slaying Witchers.

Although it may be a while before CD Projekt Red is done with The Witcher 4, fans are passing the time by diving back into Wild Hunt and its accompanying DLCs.

That is what one fan has surely been doing when they recently came across a useful combat feature a lot of us didn’t notice back in 2015.

Taking to r/Witcher3, they wrote: “I didn’t know time slowed down when you held the attack button down.”

They are referring to combat on horseback which you can do as Geralt in-game.

It is usually quite difficult to hit enemies whilst on horseback whilst swinging your sword about wildly but this new discovery reveals that holding down your attack button will slow down time and make things a lot easier.

It wasn’t long before fellow fans flocked to the comments to share their amazement at this simple yet incredible discovery and it seems it was missed by quite a few of them.

“What??? I didn't know that... after years of playing,” one comment read.

Another said: “After 500 hours playing this game I also just discovered this.”

Another fan explained how they stumbled across this tip whilst getting frustrated at Wild Hunt’s tourney quest which tasks you with hitting training dummies on horseback.

Luckily this helpful feature will now make things a lot easier and will encourage a lot more people to fight on horseback without any struggles.
